Walterpurgisnacht III is the third release celebrating Walterpurgisnacht, my personal take on Walpurgisnacht, a holiday rooted in German folklore and held on April 30th.
Recorded over three days in improvised takes with little to no edits, giving it the feel of a live performance in the studio, Walterpurgisnacht III is my soundtrack for 2024. Featuring dreadful synth, ghastly drones, and ominous ambience, this year's offering pulsates and mutates through 30 minutes of walternative muzak commemorating my mixed bag of an existence.
