about

Walterpurgisnacht II is the second compilation release celebrating “Walterpurgisnacht,” my personal take on Walpurgisnacht--German for (Saint) Walpurgis night--a holiday and festival held on April 30th and celebrated by christians, pagans, and satanists alike.

Walpurgisnacht is also recognized by the Church of Satan as the most important Satanic holiday next to one's birthday, a celebration I have chosen to honor as I honor, um, myself with some sort of music creation or retrospective.

The second in what I hope to be a long-standing annual tradition, 2023’s Walterpurgisnacht offering is a rich collection of alternate, unreleased, collaborative, early, and/or compilation tracks recorded and/or arranged 2021-23, with a few from 1996.

This release was originally private and made available as "yum" codes to a select number of folks who make a purchase between April - June 2023 on one of these Bandcamp pages:

bookonvhs.bandcamp.com

I strongly encourage you to check out the compilations several of these songs are originally from.
