Plushie Fanatic The Thing is one of my favorite movies, so when I saw the title and album art, I knew this immediately needed to join my collection. It certainly didn't disappoint. This album perfectly captures the mood of the film (and likely the book as well, which is still on my to-read list), and the last track especially captures the horrific nature of the transformations.

Nikki Adeptly captures the ratcheting tension of the film quite well (I haven't read the book), and makes one wonder whether they really want to know the answer to that eponymous question. Favorite track: Becoming You.

©ough©ool Amorphous & ominous, this is quite fitting as a complimentary soundtrack for the much beloved novella & film. The slow-churning, creeping unrest courses through the psyche causing an unease that feels similar to anxiety in that you are gripped, unable to turn away while, simultaneously, the incessant buzzing has the affect of slow excruciation against the foundation of our human understanding. Akin to xenophobia due to trauma, the familiar is strange & alarming... or maybe just Schizophrenia

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
